Our Favorite Seattle Restaurants with Al Fresco Dining

On a sunny Seattle day, there’s nothing better than putting aside all of your “should-dos,” and plopping yourself on a patio with a cold drink. From Olympic Mountain views to green garden escapes, no one does outdoor seating like the Emerald City. Here’s where to go for Seattle restaurants with al fresco dining.

Seattle Restaurants with Al Fresco Dining

South Lake Kitchen + Bar

Experience creative Pacific Northwestern cuisine right here at Pan Pacific Seattle at South Lake Kitchen + Bar, on our patio with uninterrupted Space Needle views. Take in the scenery while enjoying locally sourced dishes from executive chef Paolo Pezzali, including a signature seafood curry and a Wagyu burger.  South Lake Kitchen: 2125 Terry Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121. ; 206-264-8111.

Ray’s Boathouse

Situated on the outskirts of Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, and jutting Westward into Shilshole Bay, Ray’s Boathouse offers stunning views of the water, and the Olympic Mountain Range.  On a cool Summer night, it’s the perfect spot to catch a sunset and to feast on fresh, expertly prepared salmon, sablefish and clams. Ray’s Boathouse: 6049 Seaview Ave. NW; 206-789-3770

Brimmer & Heeltap

This gorgeous Ballard gastropub’s back patio includes fun pops of turquoise and orange, a fire pit and plenty of lush greenery, making it feel like you’ve just stopped to mingle and graze in your hip neighbor’s backyard. Regulars rave about the craft cocktails, and the understated but scrumptious thick-cut bread and butter. Brimmer & Heeltap: 425 NW Market St.; 206-420-2534

Rooftop Brewing Company

This small, family friendly brewery features a laid-back rooftop beer garden, indoor tasting room and free popcorn—always.  Grab a treat from the food truck, an aptly named “Glorious Basker” from the bar, and throw on your sunnies to enjoy a warm day in the city.  Rooftop Brewing Company: 1220 W Nickerson St.; 206-457-8598

Pintxo

Nestled in the heart of Belltown, this petite tapas bar’s patio is enclosed by exposed brick walls, lending it a warm, and inviting atmosphere. Come at night to dine under tiny, twinkling lights. Pinxto: 2219 4th Ave; 206-441-4042

The Independent Pizzeria

Slinging Neapolitan-style pies from a lovely corner of Lake Washington, The Independent Pizzeria features a small, intimate patio great for a weekend date night. Fans recommend the Syracuse—a perfect, salty-sweet marriage of grana, capers, olives and peppers. The Independent Pizzeria: 4235 E. Madison St.; 206-860-6110.

Poppy

This Indian, New-American hybrid in Capitol Hill is known for its inventive thali plates—colorful platters to share, filled with everything from clam and leek chowder to nigella-poppy naan. The patio is dotted with bright orange tables and chairs, giving it a fun, modern flare. Poppy: 622 Broadway E.; 206-324-1108
