Free First Thursday
On the first Thursday of each month, general admission to all permanent exhibits is free all day. Free exhibits include the Bezos Center for Innovation, Maritime Seattle, and True Northwest: The Seattle Journey.
Bezos Center for Innovation
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos donated $10 million to create this 5,000 square foot exhibit dedicated to highlighting Seattle’s booming science, design and technology industries. The exhibits features a number of local innovators, and highlights Seattle’s unique culture of creativity and discovery.
In partnership with the Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society, this exhibit explores Seattle’s powerful link to its surrounding bodies of water. Industry, economic growth, and leisure time activities are all tied up in the city’s maritime history..
True Northwest: The Seattle Journey
Learn how Seattle evolved from a small mill town and seaport into the world class city it is today. True Northwest has been recognized by the American Alliance of Museums for its incredibly engaging, interactive experiences.
It’s Raining Cats and Dogs
Did you know that cats and dogs outnumber human children in Seattle? This temporary exhibits traces Seattleites’ affinity for domesticated animals, and examines the history of Puget Sound by telling the stories of its cats and dogs.
