Every year, the Seattle Cherry Blossom and Japanese Cultural Festival brings a day’s worth of Japanese culture and activities to the Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center. Last year there were a number of kids activities, storytelling events, and workshops for things like calligraphy, origami, and ikebana. There were booths and gift shops, film screenings, lectures, kimono dress fittings, martial arts lessons, dance performances, and a whole lot more. There is always a breadth of unique Japanese cuisines to accompany all of the entertainment. Keep an eye on the event’s Facebook for updates on this year’s dates.
